Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer well-known for his unique blend that combines soul jazz R&B as well as R&B. From Broadway to European music festivals and clubs Sunshine has performed all over the world. Sunshine's the name of Denise White. Although she's located in Atlanta Her roots lie from Chester Pennsylvania. There she was first introduced to the idea of becoming a musician by playing and singing in church. She attended Spellman College in Atlanta where she began her training in the city's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single featuring her voice was Stalk You A house 12 released only in Japan and has since been remixed numerous times by artists and is an integral part of her live set. She also has contributed her vocals in The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. The band was hired as the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's musical Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy- and Tony Award winning vocalist who has worked on stage production Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, approached her to be the leader of the choral group for the production. Sunshine became the focus of attention through four performances a day at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was eventually invited to sing for President Barack Obama's inauguration in 2009.
