Aaliyah Daniel Haughton made her way to stardom in 1994 with her debut album Age Ain't Anything But a Numer. Aaliyah Dana Haughton was just fifteen when her debut album was released as Gold. It was done as a collaboration that was highly influenced by R. Kelly and it placed her in the limelight. In 1996, she teamed up with Jermaine Dpri as well as Timbaland in her sophomore studio album One In A Million, that included the top-selling track If Your Girl Only knew. Aaliyah gained international recognition for her work as an R&B artist following the launch of her second album, One In A Million. She appeared alongside martial arts legend Jet Li in the romantic-action movie Romeo Must Die. The film she was in was the vampire film that was based on Anne Rice Queen of the Damned, that premiered in 2002. The Matrix Sequels saw her as Zee following her appearance in The Matrix Reloaded (2003) as well as The Matrix Revolutions that same year. Born in Connecticut to an Indian family. Indian descent. The stage name Mann is a short form of her married name Mankad. Aarti Magnumdar is her professional name. However, she also uses Aarti Magumdar for her stage name. Her acting career began with minor TV and film roles, but her popularity grew during the middle 2000s. Other notable works she has done are Leverage 2012, Suits 2013, and Grey's Anatomy 2017. She has appeared in numerous commercials, including Volvo's global car manufacturer. Her daughter resides in Los Angeles and is pursuing her acting.
